From “Someday” to Trove

We didn’t start Trove with a business plan.
We started it with conversations.
Long walks back home from college. Random “what if” talks. Big dreams with zero clarity.
That’s where everything began.
We’re Mansi Rana and Jaya Goswami, best friends since our second year of college at B.S. Negi MPPS Polytechnic College near ONGC, Dehradun. Back then, we didn’t have money, connections, or experience—but we had one shared thought:
We don’t want an ordinary life.
First Job. First Reality Check.
After college, we moved to Ludhiana for a CAD design job. We worked on Texcelle software, thinking, “Okay, this is the start.”
But reality hit hard.
Strict rules. Long hours. No space to breathe, think, or grow. We realised very quickly—this life wasn’t for us.
So we did something scary.
We quit.
Within three weeks.
No Plan. Just Courage.
From Ludhiana, we went straight to Jaipur—in peak June heat—with nothing but hope. We walked door to door, company to company, asking for work. Rejections were constant. Having no experience made everything ten times harder.
But we kept going.
Because going back wasn’t an option.
Trying, Failing, Learning (On Repeat)
Life took us through different paths, but every step taught us something. Jaya went back to Ludhiana for work. Mansi tried multiple roles: Junior designer in a domestic company, Bag designer in an export makeup brand. Print designer in an export house.
Each job added a piece to the puzzle—design, materials, exports, production, detailing. It didn’t feel like it then, but everything was preparing us for something bigger.
The One Sentence That Changed Everything
One day, Jaya said:
“9 to 5 is not going to work for us. We’re meant for more.”
And that was it.
We knew we didn’t want to just work—we wanted to build. Something that felt like us. Something meaningful. Something peaceful in a very noisy world.
Why Tapestry? Why Spiritual?
Through all our experiences, one thing stayed constant—we were always drawn to spirituality. Calm spaces. Sacred symbols. Art that makes you pause and breathe.
We didn’t want to create décor that’s just “pretty.”
We wanted to create art with energy.
That’s how Trove came into existence.
Hand-painted tapestries.
Made slowly. Made intentionally.
Each piece carrying meaning, not just colour.
Trove Is More Than a Brand

Every tapestry you see is a reminder that dreams don’t need perfect timing—just honesty and consistency.
Still Walking. Still Dreaming.
We’re still those two girls who talked about business while walking home from college. The only difference?
Now, we’re actually building it.
